Dear Tamara Rubin / Lead Safe Mama LLC, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Dr. Trino Nuño, and I am a dentist practicing in Nebraska with a focus on biological and integrative dentistry. I recently became aware of your published findings regarding Revitin Prebiotic Toothpaste and the alleged presence of heavy metal contaminants, including lead. As someone who has both a professional and personal interest in environmental health and toxicology, I take these kinds of reports seriously. In fact, I once worked as an environmental health coordinator at a county health department, where I investigated potential lead exposures in children — an experience that left a lasting impression on me about the insidious impact of heavy metals. For the sake of my patients, and to contribute to a transparent and informed dialogue, I would like to better understand the methodology and scope of your testing: 1. How did you choose the laboratory that performed the analysis, and was it an accredited facility? 2. What testing methods were used (e.g., XRF, ICP-MS), and why did they choose the detection limits (sensitivity)? 3. Were multiple samples or production lots tested, or was this based on a single unit of product? 4. Have the findings been replicated independently, or do you plan further testing? I deeply appreciate the advocacy work that Lead Safe Mama does to bring attention to potential contamination issues in everyday products. At the same time, as a healthcare provider, it is important that I communicate risk accurately and responsibly to my patients. Having clarity on your testing process will help me do so. Thank you for your time and for your continued efforts to raise awareness about environmental health risks. I look forward to hearing from you and, if possible, to collaborating in ensuring that the public has access to safe, transparent, and trustworthy information.
