MiBöca Dentistry: A Holistic Approach to Oral Health

Since 2023, MiBöca Dentistry has been a proud member of ICHA, aligning with its commitment to holistic health. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, MiBöca Dentistry offers an innovative approach to dental care, emphasizing the preservation of natural tooth structure and the use of modern, biocompatible materials. Our services include airway appliance therapy, laser tongue tie revision, zirconia implants, and tooth-colored restorations.  Many times the dental office provides the opportunity to screen for a plethora of chronic conditions that need attention.  We serve as a resource and advocate for referring patients to the proper professional for their care.

To gain deeper insights into this collaboration, I had the opportunity to interview Allison Beninato, the CEO of ICHA.

1. Can you share the inspiration behind founding the Inspire Collaborative Health Association?

Inspire Collaborative Health Association (ICHA) was born from a passion for bridging the gap between conventional and complementary healthcare. As the first multidimensional health association in the country, our goal has always been to create seamless access to integrative care for everyone. I saw a need for collaboration between historically polarized fields, and I wanted to create a space where both medical providers and alternative practitioners could unite to better serve patients. With ICHA, we’re not just providing resources—we’re empowering individuals with personalized care options that honor their unique needs.

2. How does MiBöca Dentistry’s philosophy align with ICHA’s mission?

MiBöca Dentistry and ICHA share a commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. Their focus on improving oral health as a foundational aspect of overall wellness perfectly complements ICHA’s mission of offering integrative healthcare options. Like us, MiBöca recognizes that true health isn’t just about addressing symptoms but creating a balance that supports the whole person.

3. What challenges did you face in establishing this collaboration, and how were they overcome?

Establishing this collaboration came with the unique challenge of building something entirely new from the ground up. ICHA is the first and only organization of its kind, which meant proving the concept of bridging conventional and complementary healthcare in a way that hadn’t been done before. It’s one thing to tweak an existing idea, but creating something truly innovative takes vision, persistence, and hard work.

Another significant challenge has been balancing rapid growth with the resources needed to support it. Demand for integrative care is growing quickly, and meeting that demand requires both financial backing and strategic planning. Growth brings money, and money fuels growth, but balancing the two simultaneously has been a delicate act.

We first had to establish a base of providers, practitioners, and strategic partners. Now that we have that foundation, we’re shifting our focus to the community, ensuring they know that ICHA is here and that we’ll continue to grow all areas to better serve them. More providers and businesses will bring more community members, and more community members will attract more providers and businesses—creating a cycle of growth that strengthens every aspect of our mission.

We are grateful for the growing pains, and 2024 was a remarkable year for ICHA, showing incredible year-over-year growth for the nonprofit. This progress allowed us to evaluate where to focus our efforts moving forward, and we’re excited to carry that momentum into 2025 with even more strategic collaborations and impactful initiatives.

6. What advice would you give to other healthcare providers considering similar collaborations, and why should they consider becoming a member of ICHA?

For healthcare providers considering joining similar collaborations, my advice is to join ICHA because there is simply no other association like ours. We are truly the bridge to the gap in healthcare, addressing a wide range of intertwined issues. While there may be directories or networking groups, many are not as thoroughly vetted or as diverse as ours, and most are driven by profit rather than genuine change. ICHA stands apart as a nonprofit with a heart committed to meaningful transformation in healthcare.

7. Looking ahead, what are your goals for ICHA and its collaborations?

Looking ahead, our goals for ICHA are ambitious yet clear. Over the next year, we plan to expand our reach, garnering thousands of community members and dozens of additional providers and strategic partners. We’re also gearing up for our national expansion, bringing our mission of integrative care to a broader audience.

We aim to connect more individuals with the care they need through our clinical liaison services, vetted provider directory, and grant program. Additionally, we are committed to deepening our collaborations to ensure that every partnership, like the one with MiBöca, provides measurable value to our members and the communities we serve.

To achieve these goals, we recognize the importance of securing additional donor support. By building a strong base of donors who share our vision, we can expand our programs, reach more people, and create lasting change in healthcare.

Ultimately, we are working toward a future where integrative care is the standard, and every individual feels supported on their health journey. Looking five years ahead, we plan to roll out some very exciting expansions to the association, furthering our mission and impact on healthcare.
